We founded Architerra to make beautiful, well-built landscape furnishings and fixtures that solve common problems. Joining Urban Accessories lets us continue that mission at a larger scale, with more capabilities under one roof and the same commitment to bringing customers the highest-quality designs.
If you’re working with us right now, you’re probably asking one question: What does this mean for me?
For active projects, the answer is simple: nothing changes. Quotes, lead times, warranties, and your existing contacts remain the same. Product and specs remain unchanged. The Architerra team will continue managing work through completion. The standards—and the people—you trust will remain in place.
So what is changing? To start, we’ve relocated across town to UA’s facilities in Tacoma, just 75 miles south of our former home in Marysville. With the added space and infrastructure, we’ll have the opportunity to increase production capacity, leverage new tools like high-definition laser cutting and powder coating, and build an even more responsive team with additional sales support and project management resources.
Soon, we'll be able to offer more comprehensive product lines and more ways to solve problems without adding more vendors to juggle. Customers will have a clearer path from concept to installation with greater control to realize your vision.
Joining Urban Accessories just makes sense. Both our companies are rooted in the Pacific Northwest. We share a commitment to our craft and our customers, and a belief that landscape products should be as thoughtfully designed as they are well-made — a belief woven into our DNA.
Architerra was founded in 2016 by a team uniting landscape architects and hands-on installers to fill a market gap for well-designed, expertly fabricated landscape systems. Our planters and site furnishings are designed to be durable, beautiful, and adaptable to the demands of any site.
Urban Accessories was co-founded by an architect in 1972 to bring architectural metalwork back into public space. Since then, UA has shaped streetscapes through original and custom tree and trench grates, drain covers, and cast pieces that elevate everyday experience for people around the world.
But it’s not just our stories that overlap — it’s our values.
Design-led
Every product and project begins with design thinking, and both Architerra and Urban Accessories protect that vision through detailing, fabrication, and installation support — so the final result matches the original intent every time.
Integrated manufacturing
Both teams are designers and makers. Keeping the entire process in-house—design to pattern-making to casting & fabrication to finishing—means fewer surprises and greater control.
Built to last
We make products for the real world. Our durable materials and expert fabrication hold up under everyday use, every type of weather, and anything else you can throw at them.
Sustainable at our core
With a commitment to recycled materials, efficient in-house fabrication, and a local supply chain, we keep our products out of landfills and our carbon footprints small.
These values will continue to guide our work.
Together, we can offer what neither company could do alone: more complete systems, tighter coordination across product families, and more ambitious product development — all without sacrificing the craft, collaboration, and attention to detail you've come to expect from Architerra.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to see what new possibilities this unlocks for our customers, our partners, and the outdoor places we all share.
To bring complementary capabilities together, so clients can coordinate fewer vendors while getting tighter integration between site and landscape products.
Is Architerra going away?
No. The Architerra team and products you know are all still here, and the name will remain in use as “Architerra by Urban Accessories.”
Will active Architerra projects or quotes change?
No. Current quotes, lead times, and active projects continue as planned, managed by the same team through completion. Revised quotes will be handled directly by Urban Accessories. Any questions should be directed to us at hello@urbanacessories.com.
The same UA people, products, and processes remain in place, now supported by new products and capabilities from Architerra.
Are materials, finishes, and fabrication changing?
All current catalog options remain available. Now, all metal products from both companies will be cut or forged using a high-definition laser cutter for greater precision. New powder coating options for Architerra products will debut in the coming months.
Will pricing change?
We have no plans to change pricing. If there are any future pricing updates, they will be communicated clearly and in advance.
What new benefits should customers expect?
Customers should see shorter lead times, faster quote turnaround, and more responsive service through expanded capacity, dedicated sales support, and project management resources.
Do we now have a single quote/submittal package when scopes include products from both Architerra and Urban Accessories?
Yes. The intent is clearer coordination and accountability through a single point of entry for new inquiries via Urban Accessories.
Will my contacts or support channels change?
For existing work, your contacts remain the same. Questions about Architerra product details and technical information can still be directed to Clayton Morgan at clayton@architerradesigns.com
Who should I contact for new projects and new inquiries?
Going forward, we’ll handle new inquiries through Urban Accessories, so you’ll have one point of entry and clear accountability. You can direct all questions and business inquiries to hello@urbanacessories.com.
